WAKAN is a Lakota word that I've chosen to pay respect to my native ancestry. It is also the identity that represents my take on native and western art. I was raised in the Black Hills of Wyoming and South Dakota. I grew up within thirty miles of Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monuments; their scale and technical beauty has inspired me since I was a child.
